Harrison Industrial Services Inc. performs services in the field.
Shown here is a field service job to remove an existing single speed motor and variable pulley system and design a system to mount a customer supplied "C" face VFD motor system and a fixed reduction belt drive on customer's existing machine.
The system allows the motor to transmit pure torque (no cantilevered load on the motor shaft).
The system also has a twin-screw belt tensioning system (designed into the mount) that allows a single wrench to tension the belt.
Piloted flange bearings were also used to increase the precision of the assembly by maintaining the co-axial alignment of the stub shaft and the motor shaft.
