Harrison Industrial Services Inc. needed a low speed, torque amplifying gearbox for a redesign project for an aerospace company.
No off-the-shelf solution was available so we designed and built this gearbox from scratch.
This photo shows one of two gearboxes needed for the job.
The top plate of the gearbox (shown here with the shafts, bearings, and seals installed) becomes the motor mount for the servo motor that drives the input shaft.
The case of this gearbox was machined from solid aluminum.
