Harrison Industrial Services Inc. modifies mobile equipment to make it more ergonomic and safe.
These photos show warehouse tractors (tugs) outfitted with an automated hitch designed by Harrison Industrial Services Inc..
The hitch allows a tractor operator to hitch and un-hitch warehouse material handling trailers without leaving his or her seat, making the entire operation faster and safer.
The trailer tongues were designed with "ring" (ring and pintle type) hitches.
The hitch lowers down automatically, opening to receive a trailer ring sitting a couple of inches above the ground.
After the ring enters the pintle, the hitch raises the tongue up to towing elevation and the pintle automatically closes.
No fuss, no muss, and down the road you go. Reverse the process to drop a trailer at its destination.
