Harrison Industrial Services Inc. designed and built this prototype ground handling system for the Robinson R22 helicopter.
The self-contained system uses a pneumatic cylinder to elevate the front of the aircraft while stock ground handling wheels elevate the rear.
The elevating cylinder acts as a shock absorber, smoothing out any bumps getting into and out of the hangar.
This system provides an easy way to move the helicopter, without risk of damage to the tail boom or tail rotor, when using the OEM ground handling wheels as directed by the manufacturer.
