Axial vector engines, a variant of swashplate engines, feature pistons that reciprocate parallel to the output shaft.
This arrangement allows for a very compact, barrel shaped engine, used in modern machines such as air conditioners and torpedoes.
The axial vector engine featured in this video, designed for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) produces 30 horsepower.
